Get me out of here!

Summer is awfully boring. Oh well, I am on the verge of really doing my pact of being extra thrifty - due to my excessive spending this month - and it is killing me - thru BOREDOM!!
I never felt so bored. The summer heat is really getting on my nerves, and I can't do anything about it but just stay in my dorm and try to download movies. Pathetic huh?
My usual routine: get up, eat breakfast, check emails, download, lunch, do exercise, internet, download, jog, dinner, watch movie, internet again and so on! See how pathetic? AARGGH!!!!
I wanna do something constructive this summer and it is bugging me, really. So I decided to lose some weight. Ehehe..you know, I really put on some weight ever since I arrived here. It is the chocolate's fault by the way, not mine! haha.. Anyway, so I guess that is something constructive eh? Maybe, but I need a little more. There are so many things - and also people - that are really annoying right now, and I don't wanna start because many THAT person may come across my blog and accidentally read it. THAT person - or thing as I love to call her - is really testing my patience right now. I am very patient with people, friendly too, but THAT person is really exceptional in slowly pissing me off!!! Get me out of here! QUICK!

Spell with me - B-R-O-K-E

Okay..I mastered this one, even with my eyes closed I can tell you how to be broke, or the way to reach the state of being broke..hahaha.. ^_^ Last month, can you believe I reached the level of having 6,000yen in my bank account and still managed to live - even get fat! Miracle isn't it? Anyway, due to my perfect mastery of it, I don't have any worries of being in one, the hell with it!
No, I am not yet broke, maybe next week I am.hahaha. So here are the steps to be broke:

Step 1
Do not cook dinner, eat at Mcdonald's or any restaurants
- Okay, I admit it, I suck for not knowing how to cook. Duh! I have other more important things to do that slave myself in the stove and get greases in my shirt..Na-uh. not me!

Step 2
Patronize Japanese sweets and candies
- What's wrong with the 100 yen chocolates that are sold? Oh well, not only it will add up to your butt but it slowly steals something from you without you knowing that you are on your way of being broke.

Step 3
Go to Karaoke and stay overnight!
- Can you believe that this happened?? No, I am not joking! Eun-joo, Patt, Bill and I went to Big Echo near Gotanda Station. We entered the Karaoke around 10:30 and you know what time did we get out?? A whopping 5 o'clock in the morning the day after! WHOO-HOOO!!! Yeah!! We sang our hearts out when we were inside and the moment we stepped outside, the supposed to be dark skies was replaced by the sunny greeting of the morning. We cannot believe that 5am in Japan right now is so sunny! Yup, the sun is up during that time. We wolfed down Yoshinoya bowls afterwards, we were really hungry after a whole night of singing.

Step 4
Two words = SUMMER SALE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- This is my biggest enemy!! Grrrr...I should steer clear of places with letters spelled S-A-L-E on their windows, luring me in their huge stacks of clothes, having the numbers 5 and 0 with a symbol that reads like % hanging on their ceilings. I am supposed to avoid these kind of places but my feet has a mind of their own. I Swear!! haha..lame excuse, but hey I cannot help it if my feet really has a sense of direction, it just directs me..I dunno..quite weird ^_^

Step 5
Go to Shin-Ookubo for a Korean lunch and Yokohama for Hanabi
- Yup, we went to Shin-Ookubo for lunch a while ago and it was so good! In the Philippines, I don't eat Korean food but in here, since Eun-joo is such a good cook, I learned to like it! YUM! Funny, in the bar, there was a drunk man who seemed to have a liking in the floor of the bar, he slept and the waitresses were all in a scurry to wake him up. Oh well, we overheard his bill was 7,000yen!wow!
Tomorrow we are going to Yokohama for Hanabi or fireworks seeing. It is quite a tradition here in Japan and every time they go to Hanabi it is customary to wear a Yukata or a light kimono. Too sad I don't have one, but if ever I decide to buy one tomorrow, surely, it is the step 6 in becoming broke. ;)

So what do you think? Am I already broke? Nah..

not yet that is..

I haven't gone to Disneyland yet.

mou..tsukareta

I never felt so tired like today. Just got home from Shinjuku wherein we join the shopping quest of various girls for a hand of the summer sale!! We went to My Lord, my most favorite mall here in Tokyo, together with My City and just roamed around until our feet hurt. My gosh, now, the tiring walks we had is now currently seeping through my body, I can feel it!! Gradually paralyzing me..hehe..But nah, it won't work, I have to do my daily round of visit in the friends' rooms. It was quite a habit actually.
I have lots of work to do next week, essays to pass, very many things to memorize, and I don't know where to start, really!!! Arrrgh!!! I need to pass my Sailormoon essay, as well as my Japan experience essay. Actually, I plan to write something that is very honest, from the heart using Japanese. Also, I need to think of a paper topic for my Intercultural Communcation class, from which one of my disliked Japanese girl served as my groupmate. Geez!!!
Anyway, I am in the mood for chocolate and forget that diet!haha.. Just this day for sure. I successfully lost pounds actually, and what is bad, my jeans and skirts that I bought are now a little bigger for me that it was supposed to be. Too sad actually, they are really cute and boy, did cost money! Ha!
So ja..I need to write in my schedule diary, forgetful me will be in trouble if I do not!

such a sad one

Oh well. I feel so lazy today and so heavy. Might as well get an ice cream afterwards, eh? A slightly crappy day actually, and I just wish tomorrow would be a better one. I saw him for only a short while as he headed towards his class, and still I didn't get the chance to know his name..aaargh!!!!!
The F4 were still seated on their usual spot, too bad I didn't stay long at the square for it is freaky hot in here, that just ignites our sweat glands to produce more sweat...eeeew..icky!! really! Reminds me of the Philippines here.
Sem is ending, I must know their names...really know their names. They are really sweet actually, always saying 'hi' whenever I am around and trying to speak in Tagalog. Waah...I think I got caught looking at him when he was going home..waah..I have to turn away!! hehe...Reminds me of those sicklingly sweet love stories or telenovelas as we call it. Anyway, need icecream.

atarashii keiken..zutto tanoshikatta

It has been weeks since my last post.Been busy lately..nope not with school but with experiencing and discovering Japan! I have been travelling to lots of places..and interesting ones. Been to an onsen or the Japanese public bath which was a totally new experience for me (Duh!), to Gotemba in Yamanashi near Mt. Fuji - but didn't see the mountain because it was too cloudy, Fujikyuu Highlands and rode the tallest rollercoaster in the world - 70m. with a speed of 130km/hr, also the fastest one in the world with 150km/hr, let me not forget my incredible terrifying experience in the obakeyashiki - horror house. I have lots to tell and I don't know where to start...
Aahh..Patt called they are watching a movie in the common room. Actually, I should be studying today instead of writing in my blog and going upstairs to watch a movie..But hey, it can wait..hehe.Will write later a longer one, promise!!! ja...^_^

it's gonna rain!

I just had my homestay and for me it is truly one of the most unforgettable experiences here in Japan. My host family was so nice to me and even toured me around Tokyo. They took me to the places that I want to go most!! I was so flattered that they went to all the troubles of welcoming me, it was so heartwarming. We went to Kamakura, wherein we visited a shrine which I forget what the name is (waaa...I still have troubles with Japanese names!) and of course, to see the famous Daibutsu. What is Daibutsu? It is the buddha of Kamakura. Yup, the very same Buddha that was included in the TV video of 'It's gonna rain' in Rurouni Kenshin. It was so thrilling to see it. Then, on Sunday we went to Asakusa, which is truly the place I wanna see!! We went to Sensouji Temple, a very famous one, and also saw the markets that aline the Asakusa gates - I will definitely return to Asakusa one of these days! I love it! I was speaking of Okonomiyaki in my last entry..my wish was granted! We had Okonomiyaki for lunch!!! Yokatta!!! Mm...truly one of my favorite Japanese dishes. Oh for dinner we had curry rice and sashimi, beat that? My host mom was truly nice, I really like her. I also have 2 host siblings, who were both very young. My host brother is Shun, who is 3 years old, and my host sister is Kokoro, who is 1 year old. They have the cutest names don't they? Anyway, it was really fun, especially with Shun who just can't stop calling 'Oneechan!!Oneechan!!', he was so cute. He cried when I went away. I am really planning to give something back to my host family one of these days, just let this week past. This week is a horrible one. So back to my story, sorry got carried away with insignificant stuff. I went to Tokyo Tower!!!! Whoooooo!!! The place to be! I also got the chance to have a picture together with a giant Pikachu monument, it was so cute. Tokyo Tower was really nice and the entrance fee was really expensive, but my host mom paid it. It was so nice to see Tokyo 200 meters above ground. After, we rode a rather unique looking bicycle, which I think most Japanese haven't seen one because we kept on getting weird looks and 'Nani?' looks. I cannot even describe it because that was the first time I ever saw one! It was a plastic covered carrier which has basically bicycle maneuver stuff and waa..I give up, I cannot describe but truly it very unique.
Last night, we just did the craziest stint! We went out to Karaoke near Ontakesan until 3am (dig this: I have first period which starts at 9am, and a Kanji and grammar quiz the next morning). So anyway, we just sang our hearts out, I even got to do Barbie Girl with Luke. It was hilarious! But hey, I aced the quiz!! Thank God!! I am so happy, I just got back my lesson drills, it's A!!! Yokatta! I thought it would be low.^_~
I will have my midterms this friday which consists of grammar, vocabs, reading, KANJI, conversation and writing drills. Kowaisouna tesuto desu ne..hehe..really, it is frightening to foresee what will happen. Waaa..I need to study, anyway, got to go, have an essay to finish.
