Oh well, I am on the verge of really doing my pact of being extra thrifty - due to my excessive spending this month - and it is killing me - thru BOREDOM!!
I never felt so bored. The summer heat is really getting on my nerves, and I can't do anything about it but just stay in my dorm and try to download movies. Pathetic huh?
My usual routine: get up, eat breakfast, check emails, download, lunch, do exercise, internet, download, jog, dinner, watch movie, internet again and so on! See how pathetic? AARGGH!!!!
I wanna do something constructive this summer and it is bugging me, really. So I decided to lose some weight. Ehehe..you know, I really put on some weight ever since I arrived here. It is the chocolate's fault by the way, not mine! haha.. Anyway, so I guess that is something constructive eh? Maybe, but I need a little more. There are so many things - and also people - that are really annoying right now, and I don't wanna start because many THAT person may come across my blog and accidentally read it. THAT person - or thing as I love to call her - is really testing my patience right now. I am very patient with people, friendly too, but THAT person is really exceptional in slowly pissing me off!!! Get me out of here! QUICK!

queenie-queen

href="See'>http://www.paleothea.com/quiz.html">See which Greek Goddess you are.

I am so bored!!!

Oh well check my other blog site, http://etherealdivinity.multiply.com

Sorry nonsense entry this is..^__^

Spell with me - B-R-O-K-E

Okay..I mastered this one, even with my eyes closed I can tell you how to be broke, or the way to reach the state of being broke..hahaha.. ^_^ Last month, can you believe I reached the level of having 6,000yen in my bank account and still managed to live - even get fat! Miracle isn't it? Anyway, due to my perfect mastery of it, I don't have any worries of being in one, the hell with it!
No, I am not yet broke, maybe next week I am.hahaha. So here are the steps to be broke:

Step 1
Do not cook dinner, eat at Mcdonald's or any restaurants
- Okay, I admit it, I suck for not knowing how to cook. Duh! I have other more important things to do that slave myself in the stove and get greases in my shirt..Na-uh. not me!

Step 2
Patronize Japanese sweets and candies
- What's wrong with the 100 yen chocolates that are sold? Oh well, not only it will add up to your butt but it slowly steals something from you without you knowing that you are on your way of being broke.

Step 3
Go to Karaoke and stay overnight!
- Can you believe that this happened?? No, I am not joking! Eun-joo, Patt, Bill and I went to Big Echo near Gotanda Station. We entered the Karaoke around 10:30 and you know what time did we get out?? A whopping 5 o'clock in the morning the day after! WHOO-HOOO!!! Yeah!! We sang our hearts out when we were inside and the moment we stepped outside, the supposed to be dark skies was replaced by the sunny greeting of the morning. We cannot believe that 5am in Japan right now is so sunny! Yup, the sun is up during that time. We wolfed down Yoshinoya bowls afterwards, we were really hungry after a whole night of singing.

Step 4
Two words = SUMMER SALE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- This is my biggest enemy!! Grrrr...I should steer clear of places with letters spelled S-A-L-E on their windows, luring me in their huge stacks of clothes, having the numbers 5 and 0 with a symbol that reads like % hanging on their ceilings. I am supposed to avoid these kind of places but my feet has a mind of their own. I Swear!! haha..lame excuse, but hey I cannot help it if my feet really has a sense of direction, it just directs me..I dunno..quite weird ^_^

Step 5
Go to Shin-Ookubo for a Korean lunch and Yokohama for Hanabi
- Yup, we went to Shin-Ookubo for lunch a while ago and it was so good! In the Philippines, I don't eat Korean food but in here, since Eun-joo is such a good cook, I learned to like it! YUM! Funny, in the bar, there was a drunk man who seemed to have a liking in the floor of the bar, he slept and the waitresses were all in a scurry to wake him up. Oh well, we overheard his bill was 7,000yen!wow!
Tomorrow we are going to Yokohama for Hanabi or fireworks seeing. It is quite a tradition here in Japan and every time they go to Hanabi it is customary to wear a Yukata or a light kimono. Too sad I don't have one, but if ever I decide to buy one tomorrow, surely, it is the step 6 in becoming broke. ;)

So what do you think? Am I already broke? Nah..

not yet that is..

I haven't gone to Disneyland yet.

mou..tsukareta

I never felt so tired like today. Just got home from Shinjuku wherein we join the shopping quest of various girls for a hand of the summer sale!! We went to My Lord, my most favorite mall here in Tokyo, together with My City and just roamed around until our feet hurt. My gosh, now, the tiring walks we had is now currently seeping through my body, I can feel it!! Gradually paralyzing me..hehe..But nah, it won't work, I have to do my daily round of visit in the friends' rooms. It was quite a habit actually.
I have lots of work to do next week, essays to pass, very many things to memorize, and I don't know where to start, really!!! Arrrgh!!! I need to pass my Sailormoon essay, as well as my Japan experience essay. Actually, I plan to write something that is very honest, from the heart using Japanese. Also, I need to think of a paper topic for my Intercultural Communcation class, from which one of my disliked Japanese girl served as my groupmate. Geez!!!
Anyway, I am in the mood for chocolate and forget that diet!haha.. Just this day for sure. I successfully lost pounds actually, and what is bad, my jeans and skirts that I bought are now a little bigger for me that it was supposed to be. Too sad actually, they are really cute and boy, did cost money! Ha!
So ja..I need to write in my schedule diary, forgetful me will be in trouble if I do not!

such a sad one

Oh well. I feel so lazy today and so heavy. Might as well get an ice cream afterwards, eh? A slightly crappy day actually, and I just wish tomorrow would be a better one. I saw him for only a short while as he headed towards his class, and still I didn't get the chance to know his name..aaargh!!!!!
The F4 were still seated on their usual spot, too bad I didn't stay long at the square for it is freaky hot in here, that just ignites our sweat glands to produce more sweat...eeeew..icky!! really! Reminds me of the Philippines here.
Sem is ending, I must know their names...really know their names. They are really sweet actually, always saying 'hi' whenever I am around and trying to speak in Tagalog. Waah...I think I got caught looking at him when he was going home..waah..I have to turn away!! hehe...Reminds me of those sicklingly sweet love stories or telenovelas as we call it. I have been travelling to lots of places..and interesting ones. Been to an onsen or the Japanese public bath which was a totally new experience for me (Duh!), to Gotemba in Yamanashi near Mt. Fuji - but didn't see the mountain because it was too cloudy, Fujikyuu Highlands and rode the tallest rollercoaster in the world - 70m. with a speed of 130km/hr, also the fastest one in the world with 150km/hr, let me not forget my incredible terrifying experience in the obakeyashiki - horror house. I have lots to tell and I don't know where to start...
Aahh..Patt called they are watching a movie in the common room. Actually, I should be studying today instead of writing in my blog and going upstairs to watch a movie..But hey, it can wait..hehe.Will write later a longer one, promise!!! ja...^_^

it's gonna rain!

I just had my homestay and for me it is truly one of the most unforgettable experiences here in Japan. My host family was so nice to me and even toured me around Tokyo. They took me to the places that I want to go most!! I was so flattered that they went to all the troubles of welcoming me, it was so heartwarming. We went to Kamakura, wherein we visited a shrine which I forget what the name is (waaa...I still have troubles with Japanese names!) and of course, to see the famous Daibutsu. What is Daibutsu? It is the buddha of Kamakura. Yup, the very same Buddha that was included in the TV video of 'It's gonna rain' in Rurouni Kenshin. It was so thrilling to see it. Then, on Sunday we went to Asakusa, which is truly the place I wanna see!! We went to Sensouji Temple, a very famous one, and also saw the markets that aline the Asakusa gates - I will definitely return to Asakusa one of these days! I love it! I was speaking of Okonomiyaki in my last entry..my wish was granted! We had Okonomiyaki for lunch!!! Yokatta!!! Mm...truly one of my favorite Japanese dishes. Oh for dinner we had curry rice and sashimi, beat that? My host mom was truly nice, I really like her. I also have 2 host siblings, who were both very young. My host brother is Shun, who is 3 years old, and my host sister is Kokoro, who is 1 year old. They have the cutest names don't they? Anyway, it was really fun, especially with Shun who just can't stop calling 'Oneechan!!Oneechan!!', he was so cute. He cried when I went away. I am really planning to give something back to my host family one of these days, just let this week past. This week is a horrible one. So back to my story, sorry got carried away with insignificant stuff. I went to Tokyo Tower!!!! Whoooooo!!! The place to be! I also got the chance to have a picture together with a giant Pikachu monument, it was so cute. Tokyo Tower was really nice and the entrance fee was really expensive, but my host mom paid it. It was so nice to see Tokyo 200 meters above ground. After, we rode a rather unique looking bicycle, which I think most Japanese haven't seen one because we kept on getting weird looks and 'Nani?' looks. I cannot even describe it because that was the first time I ever saw one! It was a plastic covered carrier which has basically bicycle maneuver stuff and waa..I give up, I cannot describe but truly it very unique.
Last night, we just did the craziest stint! We went out to Karaoke near Ontakesan until 3am (dig this: I have first period which starts at 9am, and a Kanji and grammar quiz the next morning). So anyway, we just sang our hearts out, I even got to do Barbie Girl with Luke. It was hilarious! But hey, I aced the quiz!! Thank God!! I am so happy, I just got back my lesson drills, it's A!!! Yokatta! I thought it would be low.^_~
I will have my midterms this friday which consists of grammar, vocabs, reading, KANJI, conversation and writing drills. Kowaisouna tesuto desu ne..hehe..really, it is frightening to foresee what will happen. Waaa..I need to study, anyway, got to go, have an essay to finish.

ispaghetting pababa at pataas

We went to Kamata last Saturday for a night of b0nding over yakiniku and karaoke! Man, we really had a blast there and It was so fun because all of us newbies got to sing one song that is in our native tongue. Guess what we sang? Well, no other than the song that could make even my foreign friends cringe and as well as laugh

SPAGHETTI SONG!!

They were really laughing when we sang and even laughed louder when we translated what the stupid song means. Oh well, we really should go to Karaoke more often, really worth it. Well, I think where we went last Saturday was really cheap, only 2000yen+ you can get unlimited Yakiniku and 2 hours of Karaoke, not bad huh?

Oh how I miss Okonomiyaki!! Might as well as them for some on Saturday..yum! Uh-oh, here I go again, eating spree in order! Food is really just so yummy here, believe me. Totemo Oishii!!

Yesterday, Annie, me, Eun-Joo and Patt got stranded in Mcdonald's for the stupid rain just suddenly poured, and we have to wait an hour for it to settle. We ran going back to the dorm. Just a little thought, I think Mcdonald's here in Japan is better than in the Philippines. Maybe it is the meat or something or the way it is cooked but it is more delicious. Although what is offered here is fewer rather than in the Philippines, we have no Chicken here just McChicken Sandwich (pronounced as 'Ma-ku- Chi-ken') also we don't have hot fudge sundaes..huhu..Too bad, that was my favorite Mcdonald's treat. And oh, we call it 'Ma-ku' not Mcdo. And funny, when I told Bill what is the Filipino term for toilet, he thought it was weird. Okay, we Filipinos call it CR right? He asked what CR means - comfort room - and he thought it was even weirder.hehe. Sounds like a computer room or something they say.

I will be spending my weekend in my Host Family in Shinagawa and I am so excited! My host mom and dad both works here in Meigaku, they have two babies!! Isn't that cute? Oh well, must be prepared and brush up my Japanese - of which I am still pounding my head thinking of ways how to improve it! Aargh!

Anyway, I should be going now..damn hungry.

An A and something

For my first exam, guess what I got..I got an A!! Anyway, I am so glad about it though. So nothing much has happened the past few days here. Oh, I had an interview in Outback for my part-time job, and it went okay too. However, I had a math exam for it like inventory control math, salary computation and those stuff - man, I knew I always suck at Math! But of course, not accounting, I do great in this! Really, and this was such a surprise because it Algebra I got a 3, but hey, in Accounting I got a 1! ha! But, honestly, I really like Accounting so much.
Too bad, for today's quiz, I think I did not do that well because I came in late and was such in a hurry that my mind just went blank! This is so disappointing, because last night, I memorized all the kanjis and when it came to the quiz proper - I don't know what happened but I just cannot remember the 'zoku' kanji and the shinsetsu! Grrr..It is so frustrating because I know I could have done better. Also, for the grammar part, I wrote the wrong character for 'ba'! I wrote 'da'! Arrrgh!!! It makes me wanna scream afterwards, so go figure, this is not a good day for me, I think later I will just get a good night's sleep and wake up at 6pm to get ready for our yakiniku night-out.Kidding, but really, it made me feel down. I didn't wanna send the impression of being an ultimate grade-conscious weirdo, but its just that I put an effort to study last night and just because I stupidly overslept a while ago, it gave me a mental block! I really hate this when it happens.
I'll just do better next time. So ja, I have to stop writing this, it makes me feel more miserable.

oops.bloopers.

I can't let this not to be posted in my blog - this is certainly the funniest bloopers I made. My friend posted like an online love prediction webbie wherein you got to answer some random questions about your love life. Having nothing to do in my room right now, I gave it a try and answered just some random questions like who was your first crush, your biggest crush, and some other stuff that I am not really interested in. Okay, here is the catch, I put a certain name in each of the boxes for the biggest crush and first crush (the first crush was harmless, the biggest one is so funny). SO anyway, what's wrong with putting your biggest crush, I mean I gave it thought who was my biggest crush even though it doesn't apply right now, just the biggest crush. After a few seconds, I know who will I put in, so I wrote his name, and clicked the analyze button. And Voila! I was fooled by those webbies wherein they send in your answers to the person that sent that email and boy, she would laugh when she will find out about this one! Haha..Note to Irvin: I think you know whose name I put on the biggest crush..I really have this gut feeling also that you are laughing hysterically while reading this.>_<. Stupid me, anyway, that was then to clear things out and to avoid any issues further - I had so many of those during highschool..but hey, highschool is so great.
So bloopers..let's talk about bloopers, or rather 'love life' bloopers - crushes. Haha. Crushes are like a big thing during highschool, wherein you would really like a guy and think that you two are made for each other and all that shit, but hey, that's where highschool got its charm and excitement. I had one crush during highschool which I rather would not talk about, because I really think it is pointless for all of my classmates know who is it, man..that was terrible if you ask me, but I survived the teases - part of highschool again, it was still fun even there are hang-ups. Anyway, bloopers..I have lots of those, especially during college.
I wouldn't call it bloopers anymore..more like..tragedy. No I didn't mean to sound so dramatic, but hey, it truly is a tragedy. The classic story, boy likes girl, girl kinda likes boy but still haven't realized it, girl meets another guy, the another guy likes the girl, the boy gets sad but still friends with the girl, the another boy turns out to be the ultimate asshole, girl realized she likes the boy..when she realized however, it was too late. Boy got another girl already. STUPID! But hey, come to realize it, I am in no hurry to be involved in those relationships because I am not allowed, still! Haha..you might find this funny, but hey, my parents tell me to wait and I don't have any problems with that. Well, so still, here I am, still waiting..for I know somewhere and sometime..the right one will arrive..and this time, no bloopers.

ashi ga itai

My feet are now complaining of my excessive 'aruite' -or rather walking - expeditions with my friends here. Yesterday, I broke my heel (as in the part or back or my left foot) because it was scraped a little due to my shoes. It was so surprising because I've been wearing those shoes for like 3 weeks and nothing like that happened. I just turned to look at my heel because it was hurting a bit and found it was bleeding. itai! Lauren was so nice. She lent me her sandals and went to go to school barefoot. She is so nice, I was so touched by her offer - and she did walk barefoot going to school, fortunately it was quite near when we found out my heel was bleeding. I can't forget what she did for me during that time, and would never forget. She is also one of my closest friends here in our apartment, I am just glad I got to meet her. We also share our love for socks, shopping - though we know we always ran out of money..hehe-, chocolates that Uehara-san always put in the common room (we are the ones who often finished it up!), love for ORLAND BLOOM (even though KINGDOM OF HEAVEN - or Kingdom of Orlando as we love to call it - will be dubbed in Japanese here, we sure will watch it!), doing our groceries at midnight (hehe), love for dogs and even the simplest things like flowers! I am just so glad and touched by her concern.
Thinking about my friends, made me realize more how I miss my friends back there in the Philippines. Nechie!! If you will get the chance to read this..dadadaisuki!! Promise, our stealth will be awfully improving when I come back there. Also, our cosplay plans will push through you'll see. Aww..I miss you so much, nechie. Surely, I won't find another like nechie here in Japan (she's unique, I tell you! Of course, we're sisters that's why..just not by blood.ehehe), we celestial maidens are too precious and hard to find, ha!
Oh, I bought the entire series of Ayashi no Ceres today and I am so excited to read it now! In fact, after turning this entry I will hit the covers and read-read-read! It was such a deal, I bought 12 of it for only 800yen! That would be like less than a hundred per manga!! Oh, I just love Watase Yuu's works, even though just a little ecchi..hehe..I guess it can't be helped, but her drawings are really nice. I managed to get a glimpse of the Fushigi Yuugi manga and my eyes we're like this when I opened it and saw the drawing of my most favorite character of all time: @_@. Really! I didn't know Hotohori would really be drawn that nice!! It was better that the anime itself! After Ayashi, I'll be collecting Fushigi Yuugi but only the ones with my precious Hori, I hate Miaka and Tamahome that's why.
Last night, we watched a very scary Thai movie with Lauren, Patt, Yang, Kevin and Tom. It was so freaky!! I tell you, it is like a combination of the ring - the eye - the grudge..Argh! I didn't know how I managed to watch it! We were shouting - or I am..hehe - I can't help it, I get so surprised and terrified easily, they were all laughing at me..hehe. Quite a movie, eh? Anyway, I hope I can go to Shibuya tomorrow and buy some new sandals! Summer is coming and hot weather do no good for my closed shoes. So stupid I forgot to bring some.

random again

It's 12:30 in the afternoon and I just woke up. Counting, I only have an hour to get dress to be able to go with them to Ikebukuro. Oh well, I might as well just write here first before dressing up.
What I have been lately..hmm..Oh, Yokosuka was great and Ate Beng was really nice, they one again gave me a whole bag of groceries, can you believe that? I tell you, it is like good for 3 weeks, it is that many! I managed to bring it all fortunately because I brought my caryy-on bag during my flight. SO it was really big, I brought my laptop that's why, spent one night downloading the songs in my ipod, figuring out how to. But don't worry, I know how now! I am the master! wahahahaha!!
Anyway, got to keep this short. I had a terrible dream, so I woke up at the wrong side of the bed. Actually, I have dreamt about it before and when I always wake up after my dream, I always find out I am crying. A horrible one I tell you. I always come across this question, what are dreams anyway? I will tell you a secret, ever since I have this dream about someone, and what's weird I kept on dreaming about that - and what is in my dreams are almost the same. It is so queer! Even before I started college, it was still the same dream even now. In fact, I think I dreamt about it last month, and I have no relations with that person! Anyway, weird fact that is.
I am still here in Yokosuka, brushing up my Japanese manga, hahaha.. I now master Japanese manga!! wahahaha!! - a bit that is, don't get any ideas, my Japanese (as my neighbor Bill always says: 'I suck at Japanese') - no I don't suck at Japanese language, it is improving. It is so funny because I now try, with the help of my electronic dictionary, to translate songs. I have stacks of jPop songs, mainly anime ones, in my ipod. And the first try - success!! hahaha.. I am right, my hearing is now great! Yehey!! Yokatta!! Subarashii!!! I listened to Boku no uchuu ni kimi ga aru - it means you are in my universe. It is a Koyasu Takehito song..- Yeah! Ganbatte yo, Hotohori-sama!! Koyasu Takehito is the seiyuu (voice actor), of my ultimate favorite character who I think has the most gorgeous drawing, Hotohori - uhh..okay, maybe next to Tooya of Ayashi no Ceres. Tooya is a god!!. But still, Hori is my favorite, Tintin would just love reading this blog. She is my neighbor and we both adore Hori, we just adore him!! We would stay up late at night in my room, listening to my mp3s, singing out hearts out. Isn't that crazy? But it is fun, after that, I always ask Bill if he ever heard a single noise in my room, thankfully he did not, because that would be embarassing. So anyway, Koyasu Takehito for me really has a sexy voice!! So Hori is blessed with one!haha.. Anyway, I got to cut this short, I haven't have breakfast yet. asa gohan o tabetai! Onaka ga suite!! heehee..it means I wanna eat breakfast and I am hungry.. Figures..haha..
Oh..once again, Irvin - do you know that most Japanese really love to walk because buses are and taxis are quite expensive, and do they have companions when they walk? Umm..some of them yes, but you won't be having any if there's no testimonial!haha..^_~

pink iPod mini and a pink celfone

Aren't they cute?? Haha..better yet, Tokyo is safe so don't worry then.
I downloaded 100 songs in my iPod, too bad some of my MP3s cannot be converted into the formate that would allow it to be transported in the iPod..I can't believe it my Scarlet and Sono Mama were not included! How could that be? Those two are my ultimate favorite jPop songs. But with the internet working in my room, I have to download a newer one, Wheee!! This is fun.
I am now here in Yokosuka until Thursday to spend my Golden Week, and this is nice! R&R in order! I haven't have a decent rest though, because I kept on sleeping late at night, I don't know I really have troubles sleeping early! Watched Matrix last night, fortunately in English, the last time I watched it was in Japanese. I have some VCDs! My sister have them delivered through Aki, and I already watched one of them, Forrest Gump. - loved that movie. "Life is a box of chocolates, you'll never what you're gonna get". Isn't that true? I mean I remember, every Sunday when we would gather in my grandmother's house, chocolates are always present, you know, those chockies wherein you have to pray hard that you would not get the coconut.Hehe.. My uncle always manages to get it though, tough luck, I always get the nougat or something decent but never coconut! But still, when you compare it to life, it makes sense - you never know what will happen today, to next time or even the next minute. We still can't control our own lives even though how much we wanted too because our life is being directed and guided by one strong force, God. So whatever you get, don't fret because every thing has a reason. Whether it would be a coconut chocolate or a cherry one, it doesn't matter because these things do shape you and would help you tread life..Okay, enough with those philosophical stuff. Haha.. But really, Forrest Gump is such a nice movie, there is another line that I liked. When he ran for three years, he said "When I reached the sea, I stopped, and thought I have come this far so I might as well go on. When I got tired, I slept, when I got hungry, I ate..when I had to, I ran". You see, whenever we want to have something, we wouldn't know if we would succeed, but still we do our everything to get it. If you come across troubles, try to solve it, also learn to admit defeat, and try again - go on. If you stumble into something, try to take a break, after that, continue. I just love these sayings. Because when I look at my life right now, I never really expected I would go here..it was such a blessing.
So, my pink iPod and pink celfone..such a cute pair again. I can't wait to get the iDog..haha.. spending city here I go again! Nah, maybe wait again because I have a whole month to budget my remaining money, but believe me, it is all under control. Gosh, I love my life. ^_^.
And Irvin, once again, my testimonial..or else..I mean it.

At last

oh my gosh..oh my gosh..OH MY GOSH!!! THE INTERNET IS WORKING!!!!!
I can't believe it, that the brain dead provider finally give us free internet! WHOO!! Anyway, what timing, I am leaving for golden week right now to Yokusuka until thursday. I just missed my folks, so maybe on Thursday - Yahoo Messenger tadaima!!! >to Yahoo Messenger: mou, okaeri ja nai desu yo!< hehe..I am going crazy, I got sick the past few days because of this baka-ish (oh I am getting the hang of these Japanese curse words..hehe) weather! It was like this, on monday it was bright and shiny, feeling all good, attending my 3rd period class and seeing my groupmate who looks like f4.(hihihi) So I thought, wow, here comes nice weather here, then on tuesday it suddenly just rained hard! And here I am, who always managed to wear the wrong clothes for the weather, with the wind blowing hard. Next thing I knew, I cannot stop sneezing, but hey, I am okay now. I actually got to go to Shinjuku again with Graeme and Lauren to sight-see and eat again those mmmmm!! -crepes! They truly have the cutest and yummiest crepes, and chocolates..speaking of chocolates - waaah! my strawberry chocolates are all gone. Bad!
I gotta go to the yubinkyouku - post office - today to mail some cards for my mom, it is Mother's Day on Sunday, I never forget.
Aki and I finally met yesterday. It was such a fun day, when he dropped by to give my stuff that my mom requested to deliver to me, we went to Ueno and got to visit a huge anime store which sells figurines! I saw Ruruoni Kenshin ones - suave! But I am looking for a Megumi, so when I saw Kaoru..Bleah..NEVER MIND! Oh how I hate Kaoru Kamiya. But still, I bought the Jinchuu Arc of Ruruoni Kenshin that featured her, loved the story, really nice, I was just hoping that Aoshi didn't tell Megumi (don't they make such a lovely pair??hehe) that the dead Kaoru was a ningyo - doll. But, hey, it was really sadistic how Enishi pretended to 'kill' her. So, now, I am reading Yami no Matsuei and also, I am on the search for illustration books or drawing books of any Watase Yuu creation - I just love her drawings. I saw one Slam Dunk one, and might get it next time. But it is in Shinjuku - that is one hell of a place! Four million people coming towards you, swarming! hehe..
So I have my atm card with me now and I almost forgot, I have the cutest celfone right now! Guess what color? hehe..PINK! of course with gems on it, it is so cool. Lauren waws joking me that I just had it for an hour and the next time she saw it, it was swarming with gems on the cover and sparkling. I also bought a pink heart pendate for the phone- oohh..how I love hearts!! I just a sparkling heart dangling earring, just like Ayumi Hamasaki's I swear!!!. It looked like a toy, or Carrie Bradshow's celfone, it was so CUTE! Waah..it is already 10:20, as much as I would love to stay and write, I got to go..So many things to do this morning and I haven't even packed! Anyway, ja mata ne friends..
By the way, my trip to the imperial palace was suspended last Saturday, so I am thinking to go there next Saturday, but on next Saturday I am also thinking to get my iPod..*sigh* Hotohori-sama, chotto matte yo! ^_~

Wait..and wait

The internet is not yet okay, so I really should wait and use our school internet, bad isn't it? Anyway, golden week is coming and I might go to Yokosuka again but I still don't know when, on Thursday I will be free. Can you believe that??! I have a whole week of rest, and that is totally awesome. However, what is not awesome is that our scholarship money hasn't arrived yet and it might arrived next Monday, waaa.. I am planning to buy an electronic dictionary but I can't because I might be short of money if I do so, that't why I have to wait..again. Also, I just saw this cool mp3 player called m:robe, an Olympus one, that has a clear and shiny front which serves as its monitor and it is touch-based which makes it totally cool. Then the iPod mini which has a pink one!! Very cute! iPod mini can store 1000songs, 4GB, and the m:robe is 5gb, which allows it to download 1200 songs. But I still don't know what to get, so anyone who has an idea which one is better, please let me know. I wouldn't want to spend my money for nothing you see. However, still I have to..yes you are right..wait..Arrrgh.I hate waiting, you know that feeling wherein you really want something but you cannot do anything but stare and look as time pass by, a really terrible feeling I tell you. As soon as my scholarship money gets wired in, I am gonna get the electronic dictionary though, so I can understand my manga!! haha..12 mangas, still nothing finished. Don't blame me, it is really tough to understand it, I mean I can sit and read it for 30 minutes and all I have accomplished is reading 3 or 4 pages..but hey, that is something because even though slow I can really understand the story - thanks to Tintin's dictionary!!!
So, I have to wait..and wait..and continue to wait. I do hope the internet will be okay on Friday because I will be stucked in my apartment starting Thursday not unless I go out and again, spend money - which is totally not a good idea, in strict budget you see..Ha!! Did I just say that? I wish! How many times did I tell myself that I am in a budget and forgot that I am in one?? Several in fact..Hehe..I am in Japan, shopping capital..makes sense isn't it?

okane

I am here using the library internet..how vile, i don't even know if I am allowed to use the internet for personal purposes in here..oh well, no one is saying "DAME!!!" yet to me, so I guess it is okay.
I got my bank account now and they say allowance will be wired soon, oh how fun! I really hate using outside internet because it really distracts me, I mean people are going around, looking at you in a weird way..aargh..I hope the internet in my room will be fixed soon. Anyway, I am opening another window so it looks like I am searching for a book. How smart! Just stacked my groceries last night and do I have some food in my apartment now!! And more chocolates, I really love those strawberry chocolates they have here..mmm..oishii!!!!
Okay, I will stop thinking about food and concentrate in writing..no food, no food.. ack! I want ice cream! Did you know that they have the coolest ice creams..nevermind the price because they all cost 100yen and above but the way the ice cream is presented is really cute! I think I am getting one after I wrote this..darn! This is bad, I am a very junkie eater right now and to think I was hoping that I would lose weight! Dream on, I think it is not happening..*sighs* Japanese food is just so oishii that is.
I am really excited for Saturday for we will have this cultural activity and I gonna wear a kimono! whee..I wanna get one for myself before I go back though, a nice souvenir, right? Hmm..I must stop thinking about expenses..but hey, okane, here they come!

stoofeed.

okay, so it is like freezing again here and i have 30minutes free to kill. I arrived early today at school for Lauren and I went to Ota Ward to get our Alien Registration Card which will allow me to buy a cellphone and open a bank account. We will be opening our bank accounts later too together with other IS. Oh well, I have this layer of leather jacket but still when I go outside I would be freezing cold..Spring is crazy - totally not my favorite season, yesterday's weather was really fine and then just this morning when I woke up the sky is all gray, very miserable. Lauren and I had a sleepover and talked like until 2 in the morning and woke up 7 am! Haha..I had a hard time waking up though, she brought tea last night and we went out like 12 in the midnight to buy late night groceries, which reminds me, I will buy my groceries later, Jusco has discounts during the 20th and 30th day of the month.
Okay, so why is this entry entitled stupid..Early this morning I did something stupid that's why! hehehe.. When I unboarded Gotanda Station, it was really cold and I felt very heavy, really sleepy so I searched for a vending machine that has hot coffee in it (we have lots of vendos here!). Then I spot one nescafe vendo which only sells 100yen per coffee - this is really cheap!. So I hurriedly turn to that corner and chose - oh goodie, cafe au lait! I dunked my 100yen coin and pressed the button for cafe au lait to which suddenly I realized there was something written (well, there is always something written at the bottom besides the price) and I read:

TSUMETAI

Do you know what Tsumetai means? It means cold drink!!! Arrrggh, I was there hoping to get a hot one and accidently didn't notice the nature of the drink. I have no choice, freezing cold I walked drinking my equally cold drink!! Haha..but at least it got me really awake but sadly it it still giving me stomachache - I think I have bad reaction with cold coffee, anyway.
I bought Ruruoni Kenshin manga yesterday at Book Off - Jinchuu Arc. I feel bad I didn't bring it today because I really loved it, I can't stop reading it even though it was really difficult for me to understand some of the words, but it was really fantastic!! I bought the beginning and of course the ending!! Haha..I will buy the rest of the Arc volumes some other times..So at this moment current number of mangas:12, number of mangas finished reading: zero!! haha..I'll manage, don't worry.

Bishies are wa!

The internet in our apartment is still not working, so I have to settle for the school's internet. What a bummer! I mean, it is my only way to have contact with the outside world and now it's ~POOF~! all gone..but I am hoping that it will be repaired sooner or later. So this week is a very, very interesting one. I went to Akihabara with Bill, and that place do is a paradise! I mean, if you are a techno gadget freak, for sure, one day in there you will certainly say goodbye to your okane! It is really enticing because all those things you see just seem to tell you - Buy me! Buy me! I am not exaggerating, because when you are there, it seems that you are forced to buy, you will be lured to buy. Take it from me. haha.. So the question remains, did I buy anything?? OH well, I bought the coolest digicam I found in the first store we went to. It is a Pentax one, which is really small - really! The usual size of a rectangular foundation is bigger than my camera..really chiisai! That makes it cooler..It is 5 mega pixels and has 3 optical zoom. Isn't it so cool?? Oh well, I am enjoying taking pictures right now together with my classmates, once I figured out how to post pictures here in this blog, I can paste it in here. I am such a klutz sometimes, I dunno how things work and even though I read how it works, sometimes, it is still hard for me! No! I am not stupid, I am not just used to this techie sometimes, but hey, compared to others, I am a fast learner! I just don't know how one can post pix here, and that's all!
Okay, I am really enjoying my stay in here right now. Don't get me wrong that I didn't enjoy my first few weeks, but somehow those first few weeks were a little hard for me - it is normal, I mean I just arrived alone in a foreign country where almost everyone speaks their own language! But I am getting the hang of it, takes practice believe me. So even though I am still struggling with my Nihonggo, nah..it would get better in a matter of few months, that's what I believe. And, do I enjoy my classes here especially one particular class..haha..I am not telling what but hey, I love my groupmates!!!! Heehee.. Bishies are they! Totally, undeniably, superbly, fantastically, cool bishies!!!!! I mean, I never thought I would find one in here..hehe
Oh how I love Japan. *winks*

confessions of a shopholic

Aaaack! okay, I admit it, I am a true-blue (or rather pink) shopholic. Oh well, it has been some quite long since I ever shopped, what's wrong with now? I mean I just bought those cutest white shoes I found in Tokyu Mall (yeah, it's Tokyu not Tokyo) with a ribbon and the coolest pink bag with a heart pendant..so I think, hey, I need these stuff! Hahahaha..Come to think of it, I really need it because I don't have a nice bag right now in my apartment that could fit my lunch box. Yeah, I also bought a lunch box - it is so cute! It's color pink with those little flowers on it. So I decided to buy it - well, I wanna actually buy those pair of pink sunglasses with a heart emblem on it but I thought that would be such a waste of money. See? I learn how to control myself. Back home, I might buy it anyway.ha! Anyway, got to sleep or memorize new jap verbs of over 37 I think...nah, I'll just sleep. A bit of crap entry this is..ja ne.

haru?!

spring was said to possess the weirdest weathers! I think it does, because from what I am experiencing now, I couldn't really guess what would be right to wear - a jacket or without a jacket. It is just that it would change weathers everyday, and it is not good you see! Whaa! I am gaining pounds! I can feel it, because all I do is eat - eat and eat some more, it must be the cold weather. Don't you know that people eat more when it is cold because they need body heat that food can provide, and during the past few days it is waaay damn cold. But today, yatta! It is sunny outside I can see, but I don't know if it is cold because I haven't gotten out of my apartment ever since I got up - I am too lazy, when I have the right, it is my yasumi today. Yesterday, Hana and I tried to find a shop that supposed to sell really nice and not expensive stuff. Unfortunately, we didn't find it, we walked until we reached Hatanodai from Senzoku-ike. Oh well, there's another time we said.
I really need a hat! I might ask my mom to give me one because the cheapest hat that I find here costs 1000Y! Damn! That is 500Php to say the least, pretty expensive huh? Well, what do I expect everything is expensive here.
The class that I had is Intercultural Communication - it was really interesting and the professor is really nice. I feel lucky because all of them are nice! I am still thinking right now if I should add another 2 credits to my registered one, I might feel bored if I don't that is! Boredom kills, so I am still thinking right - I mean today is the deadline and I haven't moved a bone - how lazy I am.haha. Oh well, I might just go to CICE tomorrow to talk to them if I could still add 2. Which reminds me, OKANE! here they come! This is so exciting, we will be receiving our transportation allowance now, but since I am not going to school, I will receive mine tomorrow. Boy, do I get nervous nowadays that I might just wake up having 100Y in my wallet - that is a nightmare I tell you! I'll go to the bank after this to pay for my airport tax..it's 1:30 here so I really have to go..still got some nihonggo drills to memorize..Oh well..ja ne.

drenched

I am feeling lucky that even for just 10 days I was able to visit quite a number of sites. On thursday, we went to Yokohama and I learned a new phrase: 'Kaze ga suoi' - I don't even know if this is the correct spelling or something. Anyway, we visited our campus and it was really far and not to mention it is really expensive to go there. I met my buddy, Emi, who is very nice to me and very helpful.
Friday was quite depressing. We have this Japanese placement test and I did bad! Geez..it was really hard and some of its sentence patterns that were featured there were really unknown to me.I just can't help to feel bad because some of my classmates are damn good Japanese speakers. But I was quite expecting that my level would be of no match to them, they are too good and I am just in the basic level. However, come to think of it, that's fine with me, I mean I know my limitations and I am always willing to learn even at the starting level because I always believe that starting humbly would take you to greater heights. I am really looking forward to my classes here. In the afternoon, we attended a really interesting class about Tea! Yeah, the tea - it was quite a pain however in the legs because we have to sit in a certain position but it takes time to get used to it. I am definitely taking up that class because for me, the tea ceremony is one of the things that makes Japan unique - it was really enticing and inspiring to learn about it. By the way, my flatmates are really fun people, I like them all.
On Saturday, we went to Ueno and boy, it is crowded! Sakuras are in full bloom, too bad I don't have my camera with me so I have to settle with my cellphone. I really need to buy a camera, I mean here I am being able to visit different sights with no souvenir! Waa..but it is so expensive and I don't have money.huhuhu.
After hanami, I went to Yokosuka to visit Ate Beng who is really nice. I am so proud because I managed to go there all by myself! And mind you, it is far from Tokyo and even Yokohama! For me, it is such an accomplishment and I felt good that I got the ride trains, it would be a problem if not.hahaha. I stayed there until Sunday and they are really such a beautiful family, made me miss my family more when I was there. It was really a typical Filipino family in a typical Filipino House. Yokosuka is so windy during that time and there are lots of Filipinos. We went to the exchange and commissary, Ate Beng even gave me groceries. I am so grateful to her.
Now, however, was a bad day. I dressed up so nicely only to be drenched by rain! Uuh..oh how I hate rain - it makes me sad and eat! It was so windy today that I practically shivered my way up to school. I just hope that this weather will get nicer, which I doubt because I can still hear rain showers until now. Anyway, it's getting late and my classes are on the first period and I have to prepare my pack lunch..Oh well..I cannot believe this. I am so damn responsible! ha!

ice strawberry crepe

went to harajuku and had an ice strawberry crepe for snack.tasted really heavenly!! anyway, it was quite easy to go to harajuku and shibuya, at least i am getting used to the trains here. however, it is still quite confusing actually because they seem to go in circles and they are a lot of trains to get into. i went with lauren and bill to shibuya and we had lots of fun. it is nicer to get there during weekdays because there is less people, i mean when you go there during weekends..man..it is like divisoria out there! but it is not a new sight to me, because back home they are swarms of people sometimes, so i get pretty used to it.
anyway, last night we had okonomiyaki..it really tastes good! okonomiyaki is like a japanese-style pizza that has whatever meat or veggies you may want in it and mixed with eggs then you cooked it by yourself. really interesting, i mean i also saw it in tv and i never realized it is delicious.
in shibuya, lauren and i bought really cute socks!! chou kawaii!! i bought a black one and a skin-toned shoe slipper with ribbons..it is really cute, can't wait to try it on.
we also went to our school yesterday and it is really posh.i mean, i do wish UP would look that way, it is really beautiful and the library was amazing. also yesterday, i met tomomi, my buddy, and she is really nice! i really like her and i feel so lucky that i have such a cool buddy!!
man, i want to buy so much stuff but my monetary resources are low!! waaa..here i am, in a shopping paradise..buying nothing! oh well, i have to restrain and control my expenditures or else i would eat nothing and walk going to our school - such a bad thought that is..but clothes here are so cute!!! really, i mean they have those cute skirts and shrugs.I really love skirts and shrugs!!! but hey, i am just bound to look..hidoi..
on saturday, i would go to yokosuka and it would be an adventure to me because it would be my first time to go out on my own!!! wheee!! i am a little nervous but hey, i can do it. we will go to ueno for hanami in the morning and afterwards, i am boung to yokosuka..goodluck to me! i just need to ask for more information on how to go there..i have an idea but hey, when i get lost it is hard to communicate here unlike in the philippines wherein you can randomly ask the guards where you are and how to get there..*sighs* this would be an adventure.

japanese life

now im here..japan, such a nice place if you tell me. when the first time i arrived here, i was like 'am i really here?'. true, i can't believe at first that i am finally here, i guess i was kinda homesick and i was still clinging on the thought that i am still in the philippines. no one could blame me, it is my first time to go on my own. and i could say, i am doing quite well, for the very first time, my room is so damn clean! i am proud of it, and it feels good to be independent, i mean you get to be responsible with all your actions. it do takes a lot of work but it do takes a lot practice to get used to it. now, i think i am getting used to it. however, honestly, during the first night, i cried..i missed my family.
but i am okay now, doing great and meeting new friends. i love it here because this is such a remarkable experience i won't ever forget.
japan has such bright colors at night, has cutting-edge technology..has almost everything. we went to shibuya district yesterday and i love seeing people dressed up whatever they wanna dress. i saw a girl who had neon pink hair and she dressed all in pink and black..extremes actually. it is such a trend here to dress up in boots and skirt, i mean it looks normal in here but in the philippines, it would look like a crime! i don't know perhaps japanese doesn't give a damn what you wear as long as you are comfortable what you are wearing. i wish in the philippines it would be that way too. people are kind of judgmental, and it so bad, but I love the Philippines - of course if it is my homeland. anyway, food is really expensive and grocery items too. i had this weird thought that people might not opt to buy food because they're expensive so that's why they are so thin - I am counting on the hope that i could lose some weight here. haha. i do hope so.
my school is really posh. it is really beautiful and could be comparable to those in the states. we have a library that is really cool and when you are in that school it seems that you would really love to study.
i rode the train, and people are so disciplined. when they are unboarding the train, people who would want to board would wait patiently on the side until all people stepped out the train before the go inside. drivers too really follow traffic lights! it is really good here. anyway, i will my buddy students tomorrow, i hope she would be nice. by the way, my apartment mates are really nice to..i am glad i got this opportunity.but i really miss our country. ganbatte!

sono san

oh well..it is my last day here in the Philippines for I will be flying to Japan tomorrow..no I am not those dancers okay, I'll go there to study. Quite cool actually, and I am truly excited, really excited..so excited that I want to pack all my clothes inside my luggage..which brings to my current problem. I am damn overweight! waa..Our grant to request an added baggage allowance was not approved..a bummer really. Oh well, I can't believe I will be leaving tomorrow, hard to sink it in really. I met quite a few people today, the one who also went with the program, she told me it was really such a remarkable experience. Although the rent was quite high, compared to other apartments there but it was really nice. I got to have a part time job there, like an English tutor or something. Japanese pay well for those kind of jobs, and so, okane here you go!! haha..just as I wish.
Which just brings me to my ultimate problem, my thesis proposal which is still unfinished. Man, I really have to finish this before I leave and I like, have only 4 hours to finish my methodology. Things have become so hectic nowadays that I overlook the brevity of this assignment. That's why, here I am, will be spending 2 hundred pesos or more for internet..*Sheesh* quite high, I might as well buy a new blouse - but oops - I must remember I am damn overweight. Saddens me more.
Man, this is really boring, I haven't eaten my lunch and waahh..I am searching my mind for an effective methodology..
Wow, First love is playing!!! I love that song from Utada Hikaru.. Saigo no kisu wa tabako no flavor ga shita.. How said isn't it? The last kiss tastes like tobacco?! That's what that line means, quite a weird metaphor don't you think? Like eating nicotine? No way! Music is good, but the lyrics seems quite not right, in some parts only however. I just love the chorus:
You will always be inside my heart
Itsumo anata dake no basho ga aru kara
I hope that I have a place in your heart too
Now and forever you are still the one
Ima wa mada kanashiimi love song
Atarashii uta utaeru made
..Now, that was really sad I you understand the lyrics, heartbreakingly beautiful. Anyway, enough with those, I have to focus,FOCUS! haha..beats me how to. Anyway, got to finish this.

sono ni

my 2nd..by the way sono ichi mean first. it's a japanese thing, ichi means one, ni means two, and san means..yes, it means three. Anyway, i just finished my exam in human resources management - which was truly a headache-causing one. But I am really glad that school is starting to finish. I can't believe we are the only one who will be left studying while to the others are now enjoying their vacation! It is so unfair! We used to have the earliest start of vacation that's why.
I am supposed to do my paper but my head's going somewhere. I can't concentrate, and it smells spray net in here. Eew, how I hate those. Whenever you walk inside your town parlor or whatever you call, you will be welcomed with that smell..and oh, coupled with the 'aroma' of curling pomades or whatever..what a smell, really. Lucky for us, salons right now are far-far-far from those kinds then!
Anyway, back with my paper, I am supposed to tackle about the issues of women in the workplace. Are we being seen as second-best to men? Are we supposed to be contented taking down notes of our bosses and serve coffee? I beg to disagree! If this is the case, this is such a cruel world. But this is indeed a cruel world, it takes a lot to survive, don't you think? It's so unnerving to think that you study hard to aim for a good job (Rich Dad, Poor Dad disagrees - and oh, I have a separate entry about that book, it inspired me!) and just to realize you will be doing the same old routine. I pity them. Women should uphold those rights! Go pink power! hahaha.. I am getting carried away, but this is true, women should learn to be tough and let men control them. Soon, this will be a woman's world!!
Ok, I have at least an hour and 15 minutes to finish to paper but my hands seems to disagree. Whenever I start to type, it doesn't want to continue! Can you believe it??? I have to finish three other papers..and I have an exam tomorrow in human resources management, but hey, I have everything under control.
I'm going to Japan soon, I can't believe that I would be departing next week. Kinda freaky and scaring and..well, maybe I am really anxious. I need to pack. That's my biggest problem! How am I going to fit my entire wardrobe for 1 year in just 3 bags?!!! My gosh, and I am not a light traveller, really that bugs me, here, I would be in one of the fashion capitals of the world wearing...waaah..my old clothes. Nah, I'll figure something out, besides they say I am truly a great dresser...hehe..that's true, I can pull out anything, modesty aside. It just takes guts to wear those knee high socks, paired with a skirt and ooh..that looks so cute don't they?? I am so excited!
Today, my tasks include printing my entrepreneurship report (it's such a pain, really!), study for my exam (duh, my brain's being drained!! Help!) and do my thesis proposal. Geez..and my optional paper too I almost forgot.
Oh well, I am just happy I am gonna ride a plane soon..*vroooom!!!!!*
